🗺️ Carte de l'étape

📖 Stage Description

O Cadavo Baleira is the starting point of a stage that gradually descends toward the great Galician plain. The landscape shifts between eucalyptus forests, damp meadows and agricultural land. The final kilometres signal the approach of a city.

Founded in 15 BC, Lugo is encircled by perfectly preserved Augustan walls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These 2 km of ramparts, with their 71 towers, are the city's defining monument.

Lugo, a vibrant Roman city, also offers a Romanesque cathedral, a lively old quarter and generous Galician cuisine — octopus, empanadas, wines from the Ribeira Sacra. A stage that stands out on the entire pilgrimage.
