📖 Stage Description
Leaving Lugo — the Roman city with its UNESCO ramparts — the path passes through the suburbs and quickly returns to the Galician countryside: meadows, hedgerows, granite farms and carved cruceiros lining the way.
The route sometimes follows the Miño river through its green meanders. Moderate in elevation and short in distance, this stage offers a chance to recover after the demanding days before. It is a transitional, breathing stage — one that invites contemplation.
O Coto is a simple hamlet, but well equipped with pilgrim accommodation. This is the last stage before joining the Camino Francés at Melide — a meeting of two of the oldest paths to Compostela.
