📖 Stage Description

From Cáceres, the Via de la Plata continues northward. Casar de Cáceres (km 12), a village famous for its Torta del Casar cheese (PDO), is worth a stop to pick up supplies.

Cañaveral is a historic small town whose medieval castle dominates the plain. The surroundings are rich in oak trees and green meadows. The albergue is simple but welcoming.
