Between Villafranca and Torremejía, the path crosses the plains of Extremadura. Olive trees dominate the landscape to the horizon. The trail is flat and easy underfoot.

Torremejía is a peaceful little village, ideal for a rest day. The area produces excellent olive oil that you can buy directly from local producers.
