📖 Stage Description
Brioux-sur-Boutonne marks the start of stage 11 of the Via Turonensis. The bocage of Deux-Sèvres — a landscape of lush hedgerows, damp meadows and quiet streams. The water mills and tuffeau farmhouses give the path an intimate character.
The border between Deux-Sèvres and Charente-Maritime. The white limestone of Saintonge begins to emerge beneath the green bocage. The route follows dirt paths and minor roads through a typical landscape of Deux-Sèvres, alternating forest paths and village crossings.
