🗺️ Stage Map

This stage crosses the first Pyrenean passes of the route, entering the landscapes of high mountain country. Beech and silver fir forests gradually replace the chestnut groves of the Couserans. The Spanish and Andorran border ridges cut a silhouette on the horizon. Portet-d’Aspet, a traditional pilgrim halt once frequented by Gascon and Rouergat pilgrims, marks the entry into the Pyrenean Comminges and heralds the great stages to come.
