The trail crosses Béarn in all its diversity, between green hills dotted with isolated farms and villages with slate roofs. The Béarnaise landscape, fertile and peaceful, contrasts with the preceding Pyrenean stages. Panoramas towards the Pyrénées-Atlantiques massif open up intermittently. Ogeu-les-Bains, a small spa resort on the banks of the Gave d’Oloron, offers a restful halt before the stages of Soule and the Basque Country.
