📖 Stage Description

From Viana do Castelo, the path follows the Lima riverbank before turning north through coastal hills. The stage passes through Afife, a small village perched between vineyards and the sea, with lovely views over the Atlantic.

Vila Praia de Âncora, a family-friendly seaside resort at the halfway point, offers a fine beach and excellent resupply options. The route then hugs the coast all the way to Moledo and its sand dunes.

Caminha, a fortified town on the banks of the Minho marking the Spanish border, brings the stage to a memorable close. Its arcaded main square and Gothic church make it a stop to linger over.
