From Fuenterroble, the path descends gradually from the heights onto the great plains of the Castilian Meseta. The landscape is radically different from yesterday's mountains: cereal fields stretching to the horizon, vast skies overhead.

San Pedro de Rozados is a peaceful hamlet in the middle of the fields, with a bar-restaurant perfect for a midday stop. The final kilometres toward Salamanca offer ever more impressive views of the spires of the university city.
