📖 Stage Description
A short mountain stage climbing from Béjar up to the high Castilian plateau. The path passes through the Calzada de Béjar (km 8), then reaches Fuenterroble de Salvatierra, a tiny high-altitude village that has become legendary on the Via de la Plata.
The albergue at Fuenterroble, run by Padre Blas García Mínguez — an iconic figure of the camino — is an institution in its own right. Meals are shared communally, the atmosphere is warm, and stories are swapped around the long table.
