📖 Stage Description

A long final stage before Zamora that crosses the Meseta in all its melancholy grandeur. The path is flat, straight and often dusty. But the pilgrim learns to love this solitude of the great plains.

Zamora, the Romanesque city par excellence, has more Romanesque churches than any other city its size in the world: 23 Romanesque buildings from the 11th to 13th centuries, including the splendid Zamora Cathedral with its unique fish-scale lantern tower.
