📖 Stage Description

The path leaves Zamora through the historic quarters, then descends gradually toward the Duero plain. The trail runs alongside the river at times, with views over its meanders and poplar groves. White storks are everywhere.

Montamarta is a quiet little village on the shore of a reservoir. The area is rich in wildlife: herons, ducks, buzzards and black storks.
