📖 Stage Description

From Fuente de Cantos to Zafra, the path crosses the great cereal plains of Lower Extremadura. The horizon is vast, the sky a deep blue. White storks nest on the bell towers of every village along the way.

Zafra is one of Extremadura's most beautiful towns, with its magnificent parador installed in the 15th-century castle of the Duke of Feria. The Plaza Grande and Plaza Chica together form one of the most photographed architectural ensembles in Spain.
