📖 Stage Description

A gentle transition between Béarn and the Basque Country. The scenery softens and shifts as white houses with red shutters begin to appear, and Basque script makes its first appearance on road signs. Aroue is a quiet, welcoming village to end the day.

This stage crosses the Pyrénées-Atlantiques region over 19.2 km with 310 m of positive elevation gain. The main villages along the route are: Lichos (km 6) and Chéraute (km 12.8).
