📖 Stage Description

Bordeaux marks the start of stage 19 of the Via Turonensis. The stage crosses varied landscapes rich in heritage, typical of this region of France.

Bordeaux left behind, the first Landes pine forests announce themselves. The Pessac-Léognan vineyards give way to the largest planted forest in Europe. The route follows dirt paths and minor roads through a typical landscape of Gironde / Landes, alternating forest paths and village crossings.
