📖 Stage Description

A long day along the eastern Asturian coast — a succession of sandy beaches, limestone coves and fishing villages. The path alternates between cliff-top ridges with spectacular views and shore-level tracks.

Celorio (km 8) and Nueva (km 18) are typical Asturian coastal villages: a few stone houses, a sheltered beach, a cider bar. The pace is slower and the tourism more family-oriented than in the Basque resorts.

Ribadesella is a charming town divided in two by the sella (Sella estuary): the old town on the left bank, the beach and hotels on the right. The atmosphere of an Asturian seaside resort is genuinely appealing.
