After a well-earned rest in Ribadesella, the stage to Colunga is shorter and allows you to savour the details of this unique Asturian coast. The path follows white limestone cliffs dropping directly into the Atlantic.

The village of Sebrayo and the hamlets along the way have a rare authenticity: little tourism, farmers bringing their cows home, women in aprons outside their stone houses. The Camino Norte on this stretch still feels like a true pilgrimage, far from the crowds of the Camino Francés.

Colunga, a quiet little Asturian town, offers all necessary services in a peaceful setting. This is where the Sierra del Sueve and its wild ponies (asturcones) dominate the horizon to the south.
