📖 Stage Description

The stage leaves Luarca along the coastal path before heading inland to reach Barayo Beach (km 8), one of the wildest and most beautiful beaches in Asturias. Entirely natural, with no facilities and no direct road access, it can only be reached on foot.

The path continues to La Caridad (km 14), a small town with all services, before descending to the Navia estuary. The ría de Navia is one of the finest on the Asturian coast — calm waters, wooded banks and herons.

Navia is a clean, lively town on the right bank of the ría, with an interesting old town and a fine beach at the river mouth.
