🗺 Stage Map
📖 Stage Description
The most symbolic stage since San Sebastián: you cross into Galicia. The Ponte dos Santos (Bridge of the Saints) spans the Eo estuary between Castropol (Asturias) and Ribadeo (Galicia) — a few steps and everything changes: the language (Galician), the architecture (stone hórreos granaries), the atmosphere.
Before the bridge, the path follows the superb Eo estuary with its pine trees, calm waters and herons. The Playa de las Catedrales (3 km past Ribadeo, off the direct route) is one of the most spectacular natural sites in Spain: 30-metre stone arches carved by the Atlantic, accessible at low tide.
Ribadeo is the first Galician town — a fine gateway into the final region of the camino.
