📖 Stage Description
A long stage through the Galician interior — far from the sea, through a landscape of eucalyptus-covered hills, oak forests and damp meadows. The path burrows into the terra galega, the Galicia of farmers and ancient stones.
You pass through many hamlets, some near-abandoned, their grey granite houses and moss-covered hórreos standing quietly. Sunken lanes intersect frequently — waymarking is essential to follow.
Vilalba is the capital of the Terra Chá, Galicia's great agricultural plain. Its medieval keep (Torre dos Andrade) dominates the town. A quiet, welcoming place with all services.
