The shortest stage on the Camino Norte (12 km) — the perfect opportunity to set out after a lazy morning, visit Vilalba, or give tired legs a chance to recover before tomorrow's long push.

The path crosses the Terra Chá, the gently agricultural plain typical of inland Galicia: flat meadows, dairy cattle, scattered farmsteads and quiet country roads. The landscape is soft, unhurried and almost restful.

Baamonde is a tiny village with a welcoming albergue and a strong sense of pilgrimage tradition — one of the most fondly mentioned stops in pilgrimage accounts for its warm hospitality.
