📖 Stage Description

Veigné marks the start of stage 2 of the Via Turonensis. The Touraine, "garden of France", unfolds its vineyards, Loire castlex and soothing horizons. The limestone — the white tuffeau — gives the villages a unique light.

The rolling hills of Touraine between white tuffeau limestone and vineyards. Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine and its AOP goat cheese, an emblem of Touraine. The route follows dirt paths and minor roads through a typical landscape of Indre-et-Loire, alternating forest paths and village crossings.
