📖 Stage Description
Belin-Béliet marks the start of stage 21 of the Via Turonensis. The Landes forest — the largest planted forest in Europe — stretches for hundreds of kilometres. Maritime pines, sandy tracks and blue lakes create a unique atmosphere suited to meditative walking.
The immense Landes forest stretches as far as the eye can see — maritime pines, scent of resin, meditative silence. Pissos and its blue lakes offer a welcome pause. The route follows dirt paths and minor roads through a typical landscape of Landes, alternating forest paths and village crossings.
