🗺️ Stage Map

Fanjeaux, perched on its promontory above the Lauragais, is intimately linked to Saint Dominic, who preached here against Cathar heresy in the early 13th century. The trail climbs gradually from Arzens through hills of grain and sunflowers to reach this exceptional viewpoint. On a clear day, the view from the Fanjeaux oppidum takes in the entire Pyrenean chain, from the Canigou in the east to the Pic du Midi de Bigorre in the west.
